About Lauren
As a Clinical Psychologist, I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. I work collaboratively with individuals, couples, families, and groups to help them understand their distress, develop insight, and move toward meaningful change.
I have a special interest in working with families and couples, supporting them to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and navigate life’s challenges together. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep belief in people’s capacity for growth.
I believe in empowering people to draw on their own strengths, resilience, and resources. My approach is flexible and person-centred, tailored to your unique needs and goals.
I have over 10 years experience in the NHS, academia and private practice. I work with adults, children, and young people, supporting a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, parenting challenges, the impact of physical health conditions, and experiences of shame and adjustment.
My academic background includes a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, a Master’s in Sport and Exercise Psychology, a PhD in Transformational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy). I’ve also received training in evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Family and Systemic Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness. I integrate these approaches to provide a tailored and effective therapy experience.
Being a psychologist is a deep privilege. I value witnessing clients grow in self-understanding, improve their relationships, and reconnect with a sense of purpose and compassion. I am also committed to inclusive practice, with experience working with LGBTQI+ individuals, diverse families, and people from a range of cultural backgrounds.
