About Badri
Hello, my name is Badri and I am a Clinical Psychologist and Cognitive Therapist. I have extensive experience working in a range of NHS services, both in London and the North East where I trained as a clinical psychologist.
Many of our habitual responses are backed up by powerful instinctive drives which at times can increase our suffering. In therapy we can identify these unhelpful patterns of thinking and coping to finally become our authentic selves. The process of change can be overwhelming, but I will be there to guide you on your journey to recovery and wellbeing. I follow closely the NICE guidelines issued by the department of health for the treatment of common mental health difficulties (anxiety and depression).
I am a specialist in treating PTSD and C-PTSD. I am trained in Trauma-Focused CBT, EMDR and Narrative Exposure therapy. I have experience in working with clients presenting with: OCD, Social anxiety, Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorder, Health Anxiety, Stress (including work stress), Post Natal depression, Phobias & sleep problems
I primarily use CBT and ACT during therapy. EMDR is also available and is an evidence-based treatment for PTSD. When we meet for the first time I’ll do an assessment and a formulation of your difficulties and we’ll decide together what approach may be best suited to meet your needs.
