On world mental health day Select Psychology will run a Mental Health Hotline to give people a chance to speak to a trained professional about their concerns.
Thursday 10th October 9am-1pm, the clinic will do away with its usual consultation appointments to offer free help and advice to those that call in. This is with aim of getting people talking and breaking the stigma around mental health. Individuals do not need to be in crisis or looking to take up therapy with the practice.
Clinic Director, David Lowery, commented “In honour of World Mental Health Day we are opening up our phone line to mental health queries. We usually offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation, however the Mental Health Hotline is purely an advisory line and no appointment is required. This is a great opportunity for people to talk to someone about things they might have been holding back. It’s time to talk.”
