DR JADE FROST
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Hi, I’m Jade. I’m a Clinical Psychologist who works with adults and I offer sessions both in person and online.
I have extensive experience supporting people with significant emotional and psychological stress, the kind of stress that leaves people feeling stuck despite their best efforts to move forward. This might relate to relationships, grief, using substances, adjusting to change, standard coping strategies no longer working, health challenges, trauma, identity struggles, workplace issues or other personal concerns.
I work with adults at all stages of well-being: from those who are overwhelmed day to day, to those navigating a specific issue, to those who are “doing okay” but feel something is missing in life.
My aim is for you to feel heard, seen, and understood. You bring valuable insight from your lived experience, and together we’ll build on that. Therapy isn’t something I do to you or for you, but with you, through a relationship grounded in trust, compassion, curiosity, and authenticity. I strive to offer a warm, non-judgmental, and safe space, with the flexibility to meet your needs—and sometimes, there’s even space for a shared laugh. I take a personalised, integrative approach, drawing on a range of evidence-based therapies to tailor support that fits your unique needs and helps you feel empowered throughout.
I understand that starting therapy takes courage and can feel daunting. Whether you know exactly what you need, feel unsure where to begin, or are somewhere in between, we’ll find a pace and style that works for you.
Training and qualifications
I am trained in a variety of evidence-based interventions, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Conversational Model (psychodynamic therapy), trauma-focused therapies, mindfulness-based approaches, skills training, motivational interviewing, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). I am also intensively trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) through B-Tech in the USA and a member of the Society for Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (MSfDBT). I have worked in specialist substance use and mental health teams, as well as in personality and complex trauma services, across hospital and community settings. I’m also experienced in supervising training psychologists, psychiatrist trainees and nurses and have held roles in Consultation and Liaison psychiatry.
