Effective counselling reduces confusion, helping you to make effective decisions leading to positive changes in your attitude and/or behaviour. This approach is not about advice-giving or acting on someone else’s behalf. The primary aim of counselling is to enable you to better understand your difficulties, make your own choices, reach your own decisions and to act upon them accordingly.
