Our Team

Professional background and experience

I am a Clinical Psychologist with 25 years of experience in the NHS working with people in general adult mental health. I have extensive experience of treating depression, anxiety and other common mental health problems and use a range of psychological approaches to inform my work.

I have worked with parents to be and parents up to the child’s first birthday helping them to bond with their baby. Many people who find this difficult have had problems in their own lives, often their childhood. Once these are resolved bonding is much easier.

I have also spent the last ten years supporting Foster Carers and Adopters.

In 2009 I drew on my experience in both roles to develop Comfort Zone, an approach to help parents bond with their baby.

My specialist knowledge and training is in perinatal mental health.
